After two years of planning and searching for the perfect location, my partner in life and now in business, Cathy Miller and I opened Caleesi in February 2016.
My career in the jewelry industry began in high school working in Manhattan's jewelry district in the late 70's. One of my best friend's family was in the jewelry business in Manhattan and asked if I would like to try out as an apprentice. I always had been into music and the arts and soon found myself loving the art of creating and designing jewelry. I had the privilege of learning from, and working with, some of the most well known jewelry craftsmen in the city.
Having my own space to share my art and vision with the Austin community has been a desire of mine for many years. I'm always learning and developing new techniques and ideas. Our store allows me to finally showcase these ideas with you.

Caleesi is not your typical traditional jewelry store. Our desire was to have a very relaxed, laid back South Lamar vibe. A space where you could feel comfortable, not intimidated, and not pressured.
I've seen a lot of what makes for a great customer experience in the jewelry industry. Our mission is to provide our customers with the best customer service possible!
